High intelligence is often associated with people who have ability or talent as smart as Albert Einstein. So far there is no expert who can formulate the definition of intelligence properly.

Although there is no right definition of intelligence, according to a psychologist Roslina Verauli, M.Psi, generally intelligence is the capacity of the individual that allows him to learn, reason, solve problems  and do other higher cognitive tasks.

What are the high level tasks? “the ability of language, good memory, able to solve the problems, as well as the ability to thinking critically or reasoning ability,” said a psychologist who was familiar called Vera.

Smart Baby

Of course, the intelligence of children over the age five years does not same intelligence with they who are under five years old. At the age of the baby, the intelligence is still about development of motor and language skills . While at the age of the children, this ability evolved into rough motor abilities, fine motor, language, to the personal and social skills. When a child shows the ability beyond this age, one can say he has a good learning capacity or he is smart.

Children intelligence can be detected early. even since he was newborn. To measured it, parents need to understand the normal developmental status of the infants and toddlers. For example at the age six months, babies should be able to sit and can hold small objects or eating cake provided.

Or children aged two years should have already started communicating with few words, as well as curiosity. Parents should be sensitive  and can detect the extent of child literacy of development. If there delays, immediately aware whether  the Child growth are less stimulating or the parent is less stimulate them.
