Turtle Nest Village meets the most critical needs of former foster youth transitioning
to adulthood. We do this by:
- Providing housing for former foster and homeless youth, 18-23 years of age.
- Offering a 24-month program composed of education, work readiness, life
skills training, mentoring and counseling.
- Creating an environment that fosters self-sufficiency, relationship building,
self-esteem building, and community awareness.
- Building and maintaining partnerships with other service agencies, public
and private schools and universities, and local community members and businesses.
- Teaching agencies and communities how to adapt the Turtle Nest Village program
to suit their unique needs.
- Advocating for the development and implementation of policies that will enhance
the lives of children and youth.
